Why not?

Corporate work pays, can be very enjoyable given the correct team and company, but don’t be fooled, you more than likely are just like me. You don’t really have a seat at the table where major decisions are made.

I’ve found I care more and more about my work as I age. It becomes frustrating when my work is limited directly due to decisions made outside my control. So, I’m (slowly) building my own table.
